Leah Dotter is an associate in the firm’s civil litigation, corporate, and cannabis practice groups. Leah assists clients in pursuing and defending civil disputes throughout the State and Federal courts in Maryland. Leah’s experience representing clients when a dispute cannot be resolved without court intervention provides valuable insight in helping clients navigate risk and avoid potential conflicts in forming and operating their businesses. Leah also assists clients as a regulatory advisor to comply with the everchanging regulatory framework in the cannabis industry.
Prior to joining the firm, Leah worked for a regional firm, representing clients as trial counsel in civil litigation matters. Before entering private practice, Leah served as the judicial law clerk to the Honorable Shannon E. Avery in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. Leah researched and drafted memoranda on a wide variety of civil and criminal litigation matters.
Prior to focusing exclusively on legal practice, Leah served as an adjunct professor at the University of Baltimore where she trained and mentored students in trial advocacy. In that role, Leah coached multiple competitive teams, including the 2025 National Trial Competition (NTC) team that won the championship of the Mid-Atlantic region.
